The Third Signpost tells us of a confederacy of four nations starting the second (and last) phase of this major Sunni-Shia war. A new union of four nations forms the Sunni Confederacy and is represented by the leopard. The goat represents leadership of the Confederacy and command of its combined military. This group of four nations re-conquers and takes back that which was conquered by Iran. The Confederacy is allowed to govern this region, but only for a short time. The region then falls apart into four new nations. I call the Third Signpost the Confederacy of Four Nations. We will discuss the Third Signpost in Chapter 11.

And finally, the Fourth Signpost tells us of an emerging leader represented by a little horn in two different visions, who takes over one of the four new nations that replaced the Confederacy. This leader goes on to conquer a total of three of the four new nations which are the three horns of the fourth beast that are uprooted. Then, at that point, seven remaining Islamic nations bow to him as their Mahdi—the Antichrist. I call the Fourth Signpost the Coalescing of an Empire. We will discuss the Fourth Signpost in Chapter 12.
